Do not touch the earrings except when cleaning. Mild redness is normal. No fever is expected after a properly performed piercing.
Clean with saline solution. Apply coconut oil once or twice daily and gently rotate the ring. Wash hands before touching the area. Prevent soap or shampoo from contacting the piercing during baths, and avoid clothes pulled over the head.
